Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul gave a VP nod and a wink towards female impersonator RuPaul, hinting that he might choose the entertainer to be his Vice President if he himself is nominated.  This came shortly after it was revealed that a very large portion of Paul’s online fund raising success was powered and pushed by Log Cabin Republicans that have received serious contributions from lobbyists in the bodybuilding supplements industry.

Paul would not answer when asked to identify the qualities of Rupaul that he found the most attractive, but did sigh in a manner eerily reminiscent of a Little Rascals Character with a similar hair style to Ron Paul.

Later in the afternoon, Mitt Romney was caught off guard when he was asked to respond to Ron Paul’s announcement.  He visibly faltered during his response, his brow broke out into a sweat, he apologize and then excused himself.

He could later be over heard on a lapel mic that had not been turned off conversing with another person on a cell phone.

“But I told you I would pick you baby.  Please don’t accept this thing from Ron.  You know that I’m all that and a bag of donuts.”

When asked to comment about the comments heard on the microphone, a campaign manager, Jebediah Smith stated, “Well obviously Mitt would not eat a bag of donuts as it goes against his religion.  But it is true that he was surprised about Paul’s announcement.  Mitt Romney has a long relationship with Rupaul.  Many of us here in the camp have.  We all expected Rupaul to take a prominent position in the Romney camp if elected.”

So far calls to Rupaul’s publicist’s cousin’s cell phone have gone unanswered, but the voice mail greeting sounds like a “hurrummph” in a very feminine voice.
